Explore kids friendly Trail /Park in Sammamish, WA
Hello all,
After a long gap, Iam planning to write again. Southern California was an exciting place for our family, we thought we would miss it so much after moving to Sammamish, WA. But after moving to Sammamish, WA Ilove the mountain views, tall trees , never-ending rain 🙂 and our first ever snow.
We decided to visit this lovely park last weekend after reading some reviews from Google maps. I read that the park has a small Zip line and lot of place for small kids to enjoy. So me, my husband , my 10 year old daughter and 5yr old son packed our picnic blanket, some snacks ,water and a frisbee to play to visit the park.
Small Information about the park :
Park website : https://www.sammamish.us/parks-recreation-facilities/parks-trails/big-rock-park-north/
Where to find Big Rock Park, Sammamish ?
Address : 21805 SE 8th Ct, Sammamish, WA 98075
Relevant Age group : Its kid friendly. Everyone will enjoy the park but mostly kids age 2-12 would not want to leave the park.
We were excited to see what Big Rock Park would have. We didn’t have many photos in google map reviews . My son ran towards small tunnel under a grass setup as soon as we entered the park, my daughter went to sit on the small zip line. The park had enough parking space, it wasn’t crowded. it had maps in several places for our reference. After that we moved to the single slide that was put beside a Rock wall.
We found the Meadow Trail and completed the trail in less than an hour. the road was accessible and lovely tall trees everywhere. My son called it an adventure to find rocks as the parks name is Big Rock.

It was very nice to walk along the trail checking the map on the way.

After walking around the park, we came back to the parking lot. On the way we saw a deck. My kids started dancing and asked me to play the floor is lava song and then freeze song back to back.
After all the dancing, we came back home. It was so much fun that we would love to go back again.
Also, please check the Big Rock Parks’s website for more details.
